Community Supported Agriculture
The Central Texas Farmers Co-Op facilitates a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription program where consumers can have a direct relationship with local farmers. Not unlike crowdfunding, CSA subscriptions provide farmers with a direct market for their products, and helps them more reliably feed the community with advanced funding. This program benefits consumers by guaranteeing them access to ultra-fresh produce and meats directly from these farmers.
The Central Texas Farmers Co-Op CSA program has Veggie and Meat subscriptions for two seasons: Spring/Early Summer and Fall/Early Winter. On Tuesdays during the CSA season, members simply pick up their fresh produce and can also expect to receive a weekly newsletter that includes highlights on co-op farmers, as well as recipe recommendations using that week's basket ingredients. The San Marcos pick up site is located at Zelicks Ice House (335 W Hopkins Street).

Weekly Farmers Market
Every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the San Marcos Farmers Market takes place around The Square (111 E San Antonio Street). This is an incredible opportunity to shop directly from local farmers and vendors for produce, baked goods, grass fed meat, free range eggs, local honey, handcrafted goods, and more.

The Cornucopia
Just a few minutes outside of Downtown San Marcos, The Cornucopia is a family owned natural food store open since 1970 and located at 1104 Thorpe Lane, Suite J. They are all about encouraging a healthy lifestyle and providing products that will have you feeling great about your diet. The store is always stocked with ingredients that align with a variety of diets including vegan and gluten-free.

Manor Market Refillery
This brick-and-mortar shop is located in Downtown San Marcos (206 W San Antonio Street) and gives customers the opportunity to reuse containers for their supplies and miscellaneous household items rather than purchasing another plastic container. The Refillery has an extensive range of products including hygiene products, household cleaners, laundry supplies, and pet care items. Zero Waste Zen
This online shop based in New Braunfels offers shampoo/conditioner bars, deodorants, and more with reusable and low-waste packaging. They are highly rated on their Etsy shop and can be seen at the New Braunfels Framer’s Market from time-to-time. To keep up with this business, make sure to follow their Instagram account.
No Tox Life
Another online retailer that is located further north along IH-35 in nearby Buda, No Tox Life is run by a mother-daughter duo and specializes in zero waste kitchen and body products. Check out their offerings on their website.
