Construction Update: Literally Green Buildings!

Although this rainy summer has slowed us down a bit, our teams are continuing to make progress on the exterior building envelope here at Lively Lane. Since our last update, each building’s Zip System® sheathing (which integrates an air and water barrier too) has turned our buildings quite literally green!

We’re talking about the color, of course, but we’re still integrating environmentally “green” features into Lively Lane.  Speaking of which, our Energy Star® Pella® windows are now nearly fully installed. All operable windows at Lively Lane are upgraded from conventional “hung sashes” to either casement or slider windows with integrated screens.  That means you’ll get a better sealing window when you want to use your HVAC systems and invite fewer flying friends inside when you want to open them up to enjoy fresh air and breezes. 

With the roof deck also mostly complete, the roof, balconies, and siding should be up next.  We’ll lose our green color once siding goes on, but we’ll keep our focus on delivering a more sustainable product!
